En el Perú, uno de los desayunos más tradicionales y exquisitos para disfrutar en familia es el pan con chicharrón, uno de los platos más emblemáticos en el país, el cual cautiva hasta a los paladares más exigentes.
Por su gran aporte a la cocina peruana, desde 2011, gracias a la gestión de la Asociación Peruana de Porcicultores, el Ministerio de desarrollo Agrario y Riego (MIDAGRI), declaró que cada tercer sábado de junio se festeje el Día del Chicharrón de Cerdo Peruano, una fecha para revalorar, fomentar y difundir el consumo de esta proteína con alto valor nutricional, tanto a nivel local como internacional.
“Además de su delicioso sabor, el chicharrón peruano se ha convertido en un embajador de la gastronomía nacional. Su popularidad trasciende las fronteras y atrae a visitantes de todo el mundo, quienes buscan experimentar los sabores auténticos y la cultura culinaria peruana”, refiere Ana María Trelles, gerente general de la Asociación Peruana de Porcicultores (ASOPORCI) y su campaña Come Cerdo Come Sano (www.comecerdocomesano.com).

También se puede disfrutar en sándwiches, acompañado de salsas picantes o incluso como ingrediente en la elaboración de otros platillos
